Theodore Jr. and Gertrude Johnson Theodore Jr., known to most as "Dutch" and his
loving wife,
Gertrude, had four children (all boys): James
Benny,
Howard, Theodore III, and Robert Lee. He also had a step-son, Henry
Collins (Shorty). Dutch was the oldest son of Papa Thedo and
Mama
Jenny. Dutch was the first of his siblings to migrate to booming Southern Cal in the early 1940's after being told by a friend that preceded him that "you can make a hundred dollars a week pushing a broom". He eventually wound up as an expert butcher. He was an avid
outdoorsman that truly loved horses, hunting, and his dogs.
There are numerous family stories passed on by him that will eventually
trickle down to the younger family members.
